My name is Alex Kirby, I am 31 years old and live in Orange County, CA.
When I was young my dad took me to a Sprint Car race to watch a family friend race. From that moment, I knew I wanted to race.
I started with go-karts when I was 18 years old and since then have raced in multiple forms of open-wheel/formula cars as well as Porsche cup cars and Prototype sports cars.
I began racing karts with BRK (Buddy Rice Karting), then moved on to racing open-wheel formula cars, Formula Ford and Formula Continental. I had a lot of success in the formula car world. In my first year, I qualified for the SCCA National Runoffs, which is a national championship race where the best 3 drivers from each region of the US join together and race to prove the fastest driver in the country. In just my second year racing and first year being in an open wheel car, I placed a respectable 5th out of 28.
In 2016, I raced in the F2000 series and the Porsche Pirelli GT3 Cup series in a 997.2 GT3. In my first year in the GT3 Cup series, I podiumed for three of the races and won two of them. For 2017, I moved into the 991.1 model GT3 Cup car and have also had multiple podium finishes as well as three wins. In 2021, I raced in the Formula 3 FR Americas West Coast Championship and was able to finish 2nd in the championship. In 2022, I raced in the Formula 3 FR Americas Pro Series. 2023 I ran a partial season in LMP3 Prototype cars and had multiple podium finishes. For 2024, I am running a full season in a professional Prototype racing series.
My dream has always been to become a professional racing driver for a major manufacturer. In addition to racing I am also a SAG-licensed precision/stunt driver and have worked on a number of international TV commercials that have played at major events such as the Super Bowl and the Indy 500 as well as my first major movie role this year.
